happy birthday kellie!
we got into the uk on monday (april 1st). the weather came as a bit of a shock to aly, toby and i, but we're coming to terms with it (helped along with a bit of sunshine for the last few days). when we first arrived aly asked if we could make a snowman which amused everyone (i felt a little bad for laughing so much when it did actually snow on us in london later the next week). the children's jet lag lasted for about a week - toby was especially bad - waking between 2 and 3 every night for a couple of hours.
they've been spending lots of quality time with their grandparents while we abandon them to work in london for which we're eternally grateful.
they've been learning vital skills from my mum and dad. toby has learnt a few more words - tree, drink, grammy, etc. and aly has learnt how to be a pirate and fall down the stairs (don't worry, she's fine - and we don't think it'll scar!)
we've been having a great time in london - getting to see lots of old friends. nobody really seems to have changed anything other than their jobs. mike's hair disappeared and seems to have been donated to andy's chin. dave's a little tidier but just as grumpy. nick is still making no sense (but then i'm yet to see him sober).
thanks to kellie and kenny for moving help, marcia and heather for babysitting and dee for the ride to the airport in her mega-van.
