| legoland media gallery / 2003 / legoland as a birthday treat, we took aly to legoland a couple of days before her birthday. legoland is her favourite place in the world besides disney and i think toby's favourite place in the entire world. my only regret is that we didn't get there earlier since it shut at 5pm. we drove straight there from wirral so didn't arrive until 1pm. we met sara, matthew and sophie there and, as you can see from the photos, her and matthew instantly got on very well despite not having seen each other for almost exactly 2 years. this was the first time the respective families had met sophie and toby which made it a particularly special reunion. we later met up with liz, bryn and their newest arrival - eve. after watching the aquatic/acrobatic 'jack stone' show, aly became very concerned that we needed to fix the lighthouse because it didn't have any glass in the windows [which would have made jumping from it for the actors a little more tricky i'm sure]. her exact [and very american] words were 'mommy, i need to go check it out... i need to go fix the lighthouse windows'
