we were in victoria for the weekend of toby's 2nd birthday. toby had a great day - although his birthday treat of a miniature golf round had to be postponed to the following day due to the first rain of the season [typical!].

caught! - toby very quietly sneaked off to the kitchen while no one was looking and helped himself to 2 more cones. he LOVED this cake


dani had made the most child friendly cake i'd ever seen - the cake mix is put into short ice cream cones and then baked resulting in wonderful less-mess self contained cakes. if only we'd known about this in time for aly's 1ST birthday! after cake we opened presents [this took a LONG time since toby wanted to play with each thing he opened for hours on end] [aly did a lot of helping] then had a mc-lunch - sascha and dani went to get take-out and we all had mcdonald's on our party plates wearing party hats!

toby's favourite present was the handy dandy notebook from blue's clues which aly picked out for him all by herself. he wouldn't let go of it on his birthday and wouldn't eat dinner that night because he wanted to play with it.
