camping near golden ears provincial park [golden ears was full so we were at a campsite just near the entrance to the park].

trees

big trees
wow - BIG trees!

where did the rest of aly go? [i believe she was trying to stop flies getting into the tent - a girl after my own heart!

after setting up camp, we played at alouette lake, went to buy a flashlight [we're always so well prepared!] then bought a roast chicken dinner from swiss chalet which we ate outside the tent. i bet all those people roasting hot dogs over their BBQs were jealous ;-p we DID roast marshmallows on the communal campfire which is good because aly informed us that the bernstein bears said that's what camping is. the biggest victory was persuading sascha not to turn on the 2 DVD players or PSP!

collecting firewood
