aly's dance recital had a pretty impressive set up - the dance teacher had rented a stage at the big local theatre. it was a 90-minute show. aly's not so keen an sitting doing nothing [she gets it from me] so she spent most of the time waiting at the side upside down, lying down trying to see what was under the platform etc. or going to the bathroom [the first visit was right as her group were going up on the stage!]. when she wanted to be doing what she was doing she was great, but most of the time she looked like she was going through the motions - rolling her eyes, impatient to get on the ferry to victoria! i think we'll take a little break from dance class next year!
