[top left (taken April 12, 1944) and centre] Elsie. Elsie (died Oct 1999) married Bill Thompson (died Oct 1998). They continued living at the parental family home (66 Venmore St) their entire lives. Elsie and Bill had 2 children: Williams (married to Barbara) and Hilary (married to Terry).

[top right] Hilda. Hilda married Harry Smith. They had 3 children: Hilary, Kenneth and Stanley.

[bottom right] Sydney (on reverse of photo: "To George and Eve from Sid". Sydney married Beatty (died 1997). They lived in Formby and had 1 daughter - Pamela.

[top left] Marie. Marie worked in Jacobs factory but died from Dropsey (Oedema), aged 17.
[bottom left] On reverse of photograph: "Marie with her friend last year on their holidays xx"

[top right] Stanley. Stanley served with the forces in WWII but was unfortunately killed in an accident in Germany at the of the war.

[bottom right] Violet (Vi). Violet married Tom Robinson and they lived in Rivacre, Ellesmere Port. They had 3 children: Michael (married to Elaine with 2 children), Vivienne (married to Alan with 1 child) and Terry (with 1 child - Oliver).

The Sheldrake family didn't have much luck with houses. Originally they lived in a 2 up/2 down in Venice Street in Liverpool. When the family grew too large for that house they moved to Breckfield Road North (just a block away). This house got bombed out at the beginning of World War 2 so the family moved to 101 Venmore Street. THIS house was bombed out so they moved further along the road to 66 Venmore Street!

My name is oliver robinson and i am 11 years old i live in cheshire in england. On your website www.petawilliams.com their is viv and tommy which are proeably related to you but they are also related to me. They are my nan and grandad they are very nice and loving people. On your website its says they had 2 chrildren i am writeing this email to say that they had 3 children and the 3 one was called terry which is my dad and my mum is called caroline and i was just wondering if you coulld put on your website that viv and tommy had 3 children and the 3 one was called terry [corrected above]....
