helen and philip [hogan] - ex-clients turned friends from our bluewave days [who are still sulking a little after moving from geneva to somewhere near colchester] very kindly put us up for a couple of nights - one of which included aly's birthday on may 8th. we went to the zoo for the day and then had a little [but very professional] birthday party in the evening [cake, balloons, hats, blowers etc!] courtesty of helen :-) aly's requests when asked what she wanted for her birthday were just birthday party elements so there was a lot of pressure to get the party right!

the next day we spent a lovely morning in the grounds of colchester castle feeding the ducks and playing in the playground.

'tickle tickle toby'

in the grounds of beautiful colchester castle, we fed the ducks and then played in a couple of different playgrounds..

on the big kid slide. aly insisted on playing on this slide even though when she started there was a hugh group of teenagers playing on it!
